Pizza Dough

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey.  Sugar can be substituted.
  • 1 cup very warm water
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 – 2 cups of white flour (depending on humidity, you might need less/more)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Heat oven to 450°. Proof yeast with honey and water. Add in oil and salt. Add in flours. Mix the dough and need by hand or use a stand mixer with a dough hook. Let it rest in a warm place for 5 minutes. Roll out on floured surface. Bake with toppings until it’s the perfect level of done for you.

Makes one large, thick crust. Divide in half for smaller, thin crust pizza.

Can be stored in the fridge for 3 days. You can also freeze it for a month or so.
